"Openhanded"

The child was delighted and overwhelmed by the openhanded family who adopted him. Fortunately, the child never took advantage of the family's kindness--he always accepted his gifts with humility and graciousness.

Jealous, often caught in spasmatic fists of rage, the highly talented Omar was incapable of acknowledging, at least in public, although what he though to himself when he looked in the mirror is another thing, that it was his brothers open-handed approach, not luck, that made him so much more successful.
