Our froward cat was insistent upon either getting into the basement or into my room. Fortunately, she didn't scratch me when I picked her up and carried her out of each room.

There's nothing I despise more than people who are rude and unkind, but froward children and animals always make me smile.
Moments of frowardness were interrupted with bouts of extreme hilarity: he was an unpredictable companion.
