"Sentinel"

My cat Peyser, is my sentinel until he hears a knocking at the door; at this point, he dashes underneath a chair to hide!

Lady Chadwick left the curio museum without seeing the small ragged sentinel standing on the corner.

The sentinel chickens* broke free from their cages: the authorities were not please, but all I keep thinking is that a bird has got to be free.

That's a very interesting use of "sentinel," Robert. I like your commentary on the bird needing to be free.

And Alisa, good job of keeping the Chadwick saga going! I tried to think of one this morning, but I guess I wasn't thinking outside the box enough! Good sentence :)
