"Elocution"

Lady Chadwick's elocution was elegant and refined; Princess Amelia's was casual and laid-back.

Good one Sunshine! Continuing from your post…

Elocution was very important to Lady Chadwick as she felt that it showed the true measure of a person’s upbringing. As a young woman, she had met Prince Leopold, the Duke of Albany, while on a visit to Buckingham Palace. She had found Princess Amelia’s father lacking in certain refined sensibilities and wondered if the royal line wasn't becoming a tad inbred.

Lady Chadwick would never admit to it but the private elocution lessions, she had had as a child, were responsible for her much remarked upon clear diction.

Sorry I've been MIA, & not participating for a while.
